Privacy policy
What Möte collects, why, and who receives it. Effective 13 October 2026.
Who runs Möte
Möte is an app for playgroups that meet to play Magic: The Gathering. Pallas runs it. For questions or requests about your data, email parth@pallas.so.
What we collect
- Account. Your email address and display name. If you use a password, we store a hash of it, not the password. We record which sign-in method you used last.
- Sign in with Apple or Google. The provider sends us an account ID, your email address and your name. Google can also send a profile photo link. Apple can send a private relay address instead of your real email address.
- Sign-in cookies. A cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. If you open a shared poll without an account, a guest session cookie identifies your vote.
- Playgroup and game data. Your familiar, glow and lettering. Your groups, RSVPs, poll votes and event suggestions. Commanders, deck links and decklists you submit. Match results, standings, ratings, life counter games and honors.
- Error reports. When the web app hits an error, it sends the error name, message, stack trace, page path and app build to our server. An error message can contain text that was on the page, such as names.
- Request logs. Our host, Cloudflare, logs each request to the web app. A log entry can include the time, page path, response status and network details such as your IP address and country. We remove query strings from these logs.
Who can see your data
- Members of your playgroup see your display name, familiar, glow and lettering, and your RSVPs, poll votes, results, ratings and honors in that group.
- Anyone with the link to a live tournament display, a shared poll or a shared schedule can see the names and results on that page.
- Commander decklists you submit can be read without signing in.
AI features
Two features send data to Google’s Gemini API.
- Format drafts. When a host describes a tournament format in words, we send that description and the current format settings to Gemini to make a draft. Do not put personal information in the description.
- TV headlines. During a tournament, we send tournament facts to Gemini to write short headlines for the room display. The facts are the tournament name, format, stage and round, the top eight players’ display names, points and records, recent changes in the standings, and earlier headlines. We do not send email addresses or account IDs. The headlines appear on the live tournament display.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the web app and keeps its request logs.
- Convex stores the database and runs our server code.
- Axiom stores the request logs and error reports that Cloudflare forwards.
- Google provides the Gemini API and Google sign-in.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple. When the iPhone app sends push notifications, Apple Push Notification service receives a device token to deliver them.
- Moxfield, Archidekt and Scryfall. When you submit a deck link, our server fetches the deck from that site. When you submit a deck link or paste a decklist, our server looks up the cards on Scryfall. These requests come from our server and carry the deck link, card names or card set numbers, not your account data.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. Möte has no third-party analytics or tracking.
How long we keep data
- Account and playgroup data: until we delete your account at your request.
- Sign-in cookies: up to 30 days.
- Request logs and error reports: up to 30 days.
Delete your account
To delete your account, or to get a copy of your data, email parth@pallas.so from the address on your account. We delete your email address, display name, sign-in methods and profile choices. Results from games you played stay in your group’s history so standings stay correct, without your name.
Children
Möte is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email parth@pallas.so and we will delete it.
